Financial Stuff

 

This page will discuss how ongoing finances for the community will work once those factors and details have been accounted for and decisions have been made by the group.

 

Member’s monthly financial contributions will be determined by the community as a whole, taking into account the immediate needs of the member, the needs of the community for today, and with consideration for the needs of the future by way of a ‘reserve fund’.

 

This ‘needs’ calculation process will be studied by member volunteers over the twelve-month period following the date of land purchase. Recommendations will then be brought forward to the community, and finalized by consensus protocol.

 

Our first ongoing individual ‘monthly dues’ will likely be ‘set’ and ‘due’ starting on the anniversary of land purchase (no payments for the first 12 months). Estimation at this time - based on a ‘full membership’ of 100 half acre plots ‘claimed’ - would range from $50-$100 per month/per half acre.
